A participatory performance in the shape of a LARP (live-action roleplay)

^{THE MEANING TRILOGY...}
... is a LARP series that deal with concepts of meaning and nonsense.
Through play and collective storytelling, we construct semi-autonomous
fictions. The given characters are inspired by a mish-mash of artistic concepts, memes,
popcultural phenonomens, alchemy and philosophy.
We are creating LARPs to alchemize emotions, to bleed reality with fiction, in order to
create a space were change is instantly possible.

PART ONE
‘ART RESIDENCY THE GAME - THE HUNT FOR MEANING’  >> 13/06/2024
Part one was structured as an art residency, where the participants
were asked to produce meaningful items from a bunch of rather crappy
materials and found objects.
The items were presented for a meaning-judging AI, and jugded
meaningful or senseless. Meaningful items were rewarded with
meaning-tokens.

PART TWO
‘DEATH OF MEANING - THE FUNERAL FEAST’  >> 30/11/2024
During part two we mourned the death of meaning. Professor M. Eaning acted
as a personification of meaning, and heartfelt moments and shares of performances
happened troughout their Funeral Feast. All characters were asked to bring an act for the feast.
A recurring drama was the will of M. Eaning - who would inherit meaning,
and who would stand behind with no purpose at all?

PART THREE
‘THE RESURRECTION OF MEANING’  >> to be announced 2025
Part 3 will of course deal with the resurrection of meaning.
In the game we invite participants to join a cult-like community that
through rituals and ceremonial acts will crack the egg open to
a new sense of purpose and meaning.
